MatatArt is especially designed to integrate the scholastic curriculum, in order to avoid overlapping, proposing a wide set of art based activities, both active and passive.

After few sessions, our mentors realized that most of the children were unable to write and count since most of them have never been to school. For this reason, the first half of our session is now dedicate to numeracy and basic literacy skill.

 

 

 

We believe it is important for the kids to express themselves freely with our art- based activities so the second half of each session is focused on creative subjects such as litareture, art and music.

Each of the activities is intended to engage the children intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically.

The effective design of the sessions is developed through the involvement of representatives from local organizations, artists socially engaged belonging to the three main groups of activities, librarians, writers and volunteers.
